Gov. Christie Opposes Law Enforcement Access to Patient and Prescriber Data Without a Court Order

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, chair of the White House commission on opioid abuse, opposes a bill in his home state that would provide law enforcement access to the state’s prescription drug monitoring database without a search warrant. Christie put his opposition to the bill in constitutional terms, saying, “If you’ve got enough facts to be able to look at the prescription monitoring program, then go to a court and prove that.” Read more here.
