Survey Reports Problems After CDC Opioid Prescribing Guidelines

A survey conducted by Pain News Network and the International Pain Foundation (iPain), uncovered a number of reported problems after the release and wide implementation of opioid prescribing guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 2016. Problems included fewer prescribed opioid medications, worsening pain and quality of life for patients, and increased hoarding of medications.
