WSJ: No Collusion To Worsen the Opioid Overdose Epidemic

The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board addresses recent reports alleging that Congress colluded with drug distributors to exacerbate the opioid overdose epidemic. In passing the law at issue, Congress clarified the threshold that the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) must meet to suspend a drug distributor’s registration. The threshold ensures that the DEA does not arbitrarily stop shipments, which can restrict patient access to controlled medications. Read more here
